Dermal fillers can be used as an effective treatment for marionette lines by increasing volume under the skin and reducing the wrinkle lines. They work by providing extra fullness to the area where wrinkles are most apparent.

The procedure typically lasts 20 minutes and consists of multiple injections directly into the wrinkle line. The results of dermal fillers are effective immediately and can last up to 8 months, depending on the individual. Minimal bruising is common in some patients although will disappear in 1-2 days.
